Adhoc Advice Service

Whether it be a query on how to deal with the Basic Payments Scheme or what your options are for bringing an Assured Shorthold Tenancy to an end, then the Adhoc Advice Service could be just the answer you need.

The Adhoc Advice Service is a quick and cost effective way of getting short answers by e-mail or telephone from an expert rural Chartered Surveyor. This service is primarily aimed at smaller landowners to give them a quick and easy answer to small queries without the need to engage in a costly management agreement. However, anyone may use the service. The service is an annual arrangement costing 360 +vat, but this can be paid monthly by direct debit (£30 +vat per month).

How it works

Upon joining the service, you will be given the relevant contact details. You will then be free to call or email the advice with any queries that you have. Please note the following points:

  • This is not an ‘instant answer’ service: in general the response time will be 24-48 hours but could be longer at holidays, etc.
  • This service is intended to deal with short queries (roughly defined as questions which can be answered in a couple of paragraphs in an e-mail or 5-10 mins in a telephone conversation).
  • Answers under this service will only address the specific issues you raise, so we may not know the full background: it is not a substitute for full professional advice in a complex situation. Where an issue is too complex to deal with under this service, we will always explain the main principles and then provide you with a fee quote. This quote will outline the issue and the cost of our advice so that you can make an informed decision to take the issue further with us.
